Industrial Placement • Application via CV, but advisable to also upload a covering letter. • You will stand out if you show you have lots of enthusiasm, knowledge of your subject, and have a relevant extra – curricular interest to highlight. • You will be interviewed.

CV – common mistakes • Spelling mistakes • Focused on a different industry • First line begins – ‘ I am applying to Rolls Royce because....’ • Too wordy • Not tailored to Renishaw
CV – what to include • Ensure it is focused on what Renishaw will be interested in. • Highlight modules that are particular relevance • Make it easy to read – lots of bullet points, highlight titles etc. • List all your previous work experience even if part time casual • Ensure it flows – it should tell a story about you.
