TIMELINE FOR THE JUNIOR YEAR AUGUST • REVIEW YOUR TRANSCRIPT IN INFINITE CAMPUS AND DISCUSS ANY DISCREPANCIES WITH YOUR COUNSELOR • START RESEARCHING COLLEGES AND DISCUSSING LOCATIONS AND COST WITH YOUR PARENTS • STAY INVOLVED WITH EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES, VOLUNTEER WORK, AND OTHER LEADERSHIP ACTIVITIES

AP AND DUAL CREDIT INFORMATION • AP AND DUAL CREDIT CLASSES- IF YOU RECEIVE COLLEGE CREDIT FOR THESE CLASSES YOU MUST REQUEST OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS INDICATING YOU HAVE EARNED THE COLLEGE CREDIT. • AP- YOU CONTACT COLLEGE BOARD TO REQUEST CREDITS TO BE SENT TO YOUR COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY CHOICE(S). • DUAL CREDIT- YOU MUST REQUEST AN OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT FROM CAMPBELLSVILLE UNIVERSITY FOR ENGLISH AND MATH OR WESTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY FOR SCIENCE TO BE SENT TO YOUR COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY CHOICE(S)

  11. TIMELINE FOR THE JUNIOR YEAR JUNE/JULY • CHECK YOUR KEES AWARD, GPA AND PERSONAL INFORMATION THROUGH KHEAA • CONTINUE TO UPDATE RESUME • VISIT COLLEGES OF INTEREST • TALK TO OTHER COLLEGE STUDENTS HOME FOR THE SUMMER

NO PASS/ NO DRIVE LAW • KRS 159.051- STUDENTS MUST NOT HAVE MORE THAN 9 UNEXCUSED ABSENCES FROM THE PREVIOUS SEMESTER AND MUST BE PASSING 4 COURSES TO OBTAIN AND KEEP A DRIVERS LICENSE. • FORM CAN BE PICKED UP IN THE COUNSELING OFFICE. • MUST BE COMPLETED ONE WEEK BEFORE PERMIT TEST • TAKE HOME TO GET PARENT SIGNATURE • BRING SIGNED FORM TO THE COUNSELING OFFICE TO HAVE SCHOOL PORTION COMPLETED • PICK UP COMPLETED FORM THE FOLLOWING DAY

GOVERNOR’S SCHOLARS PROGRAM • THE GOVERNOR’S SCHOLARS PROGRAM IS A 5 WEEK RESIDENTIAL SUMMER PROGRAM FOR OUTSTANDING KENTUCKY STUDENTS COMPLETING THEIR JUNIOR YEAR IN HIGH SCHOOL. • TO QUALIFY • BE IN THE 11TH GRADE AT THE TIME OF SELECTION AND RETURN TO A KENTUCKY SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE NEXT TERM (EARLY GRADUATE ARE NOT ELIGIBLE) • BE A CURRENT RESIDENT OF KENTUCKY • HAVE TAKEN THE ACT, PSAT, OR SAT IN THE 9TH, 10TH OR 11TH GRADES.
