How it Works… • Users send news to SMS gateway • numbers in Regional Node or • Island Node • Regional node or Island Node selecting incoming information • Information distributed to the user according to the type and area information needs, i.e. climate • Information is also included in the running text on the website 'rumahalir' (www.rumahalir.or.id) • Use of SMS Gateway is also conducted to special interests, among others: Collect fast data / brief Research *, Joint marketing, and simultaneously or wavy Advocacyor Campaigns*

Some examples of TalaSukma& PerahuSukmaresult • The system has been replicated and linked to various network. • SLPP & JKPP (Participatory Mapping) integrated in the system and contributes to the certainty of the area for the community, as well as recognition from the government to the area management and community living space • The results of Vulnerability Assessment on Coastal Community has become the reference of program development of local government. • The results of participatory mapping become the reference for the formulation of Climate Change Adaptation Plan and Detailed of Spatial Plan, as well as the village master plan. • 5 community broadcasts are well integrated. • 25 community journalists were participated • The Website has been accessed by up to 28.000 users from various cities, provinces and countries. • The SMS gateway has been the trigger in following up the Maluku mining dispute; convey information about the weather and climate on fishermen • 4 book drafts on Islands People’s Best Practices are being formulated.
