  2. Stage & Scope of implementation • Full Implementation: • devices taken home • bandwidth can handle the load • initial staff development • ongoing coaching/PD • Devices are being used regularly in all classroom • Evidence is in the classroom

  3. History & Context Why was this THE idea to push to full implementation? • All classrooms have Smart boards, document cameras, and speakers. • Language Arts teachers have been sharing laptops carts between 2-3 teachers. • We have two fully operational computer labs and a computer class with its own lab. • 24 hour learning for students.

  4. 3 key obstacles and how they were overcome • Infrastructure • work with technology department • Teacher, student, parent buy in • know your staff/community, get the ball rolling early • Staff development • Get someone good and hire a full time coach

  5. Which DRIVERS do you have in place? • Training • Initial “Wow” training, then ongoing • Coaching • Full time • Administration • Oversees and models • Teacher leaders • Help keep the positivity flowing, role models, help with training and next steps

  6. Non-negotiables • Infrastructure • Full time coach

  7. Impact on students and staff • Rejuvenated teachers • Excitement on campus • Student learning • Positive climate

  8. How will you sustain or grow the practice? • Ongoing Professional Development • Build capacity using teacher leaders • Work with technology department and COE • Replace broken equipment • Purchase new equipment in stages, ex: 25% every year
