Integration Tasks • This section summarizes tasks that need to be done at the telescope and involve a modification to the existing instrument.
Enclosure Modifications P1640 Cables emerge from the top of the enclosure here. Cryotiger Lines Cal WFS Leach Electronics Box (See next slide)
Needed to have a custom part made by Brooks Automation. To bring the end of the gas lines to the edge of the enclosure to allow for access to attach the gas lines to the dewar when the instrument is mounted to the telescope. Part was ordered 2/19. Will arrive 1st week of march. Leaving about 1/8” for the panel. ~3” 10.715”
Cut Rear Dewar Foot Cut Here
Reverse FPM Mount Need to reverse the FPM Mount to put the long motors in the direction shown. Also need to reverse the FPM in the mount.
Lyot Stop Mount Put the Lyot Stop Mount on a new baseplate, to make room for the P1640 breadboard.
1) Temporarily reroute ADC Cables around Optical Stimulus, while its installed.2) Route New Cables, will tie them in similar places to existing cables. Optical Stimulus
80/20 Beamsplitter was replaced with a 50/50 beamsplitter. For additional light during science observations, we can remove the beamsplitter.Agilis tip/tilt stage will be controlled … New Location of Quad-Cell for Coronagraph FSM
Integration Tasks • Machine Enclosure to hold Cal Gold Box • Machine Enclosure/install Cal patch panel • Cut hole in enclosure for Cal cold lines • Modify Dewar stand for Cal breadboard • Reverse FPM Mount • Reroute Risley Prism cables • Route New Cables • Move Quad Cell • Relocate Lyot Stop or Swap Mirror for beamsplitter
Outstanding Questions • Need to Confirm IFU integration schedule • Confirm hole pattern for Handle on Side Panel • Identify magnitude of AO Spit interference problem. • Vacuum Valve/Gauge Fixture • Control of the Quad Cell Tip/Tilt mirror
