  2. Table of ContentsClick on the slide that you would like to view • Starting Your Day Earlier • Teams • Teachers • Band, Chorus and Orchestra • Lockers • Switching Classes • Homework • 6 Day Rotation Schedule • Lunch • Gym Class • Assemblies/Core Block • Middle School Layout – Satelite • Middle School Layout – Classes • Hello From Computers • Quiz! *To get back to this page, click the home button.

  3. Starting your day earlier • 6:00 – 6:30 = A reasonable time to wake up • 7:12 – 7:30 = Average bus arrival time • Not too much of a change in timing

  4. Teams • 3 teams – Fusion, Phoenix and Synergy • You will not eat with the other 7th grade teams • You will get to know the people in your classes better

  5. Teachers • Different for each team • All of the teachers are different, so don’t dread having a “bad” teacher • Teachers don’t know/care if you have homework in other subjects

  6. lockers • Combinations are received the first day • Top or bottom – both have their pros and cons • Half sized lockers – have an organization plan! • Takes no more than a week to master

  7. Switching classes • 6 day cycle – pretty simple, easy to understand • 1A, 2B, 3B, 4B, 5A, 6A • 3 minutes between each class to transition • Science hallway is usually the furthest away

  8. Homework • Depends on the classes you take • Not really a lot of a difference • Not an overload of work

  9. 6 day rotation schedule – not as difficult as it seems

  10. Lunch • 3 periods of lunch – Early lunch, middle lunch and late lunch • 3 lines to choose from – hot food line (A lunch), sandwich line (premade or ordered) and the snack line (pizza). • Lunch is eaten with your 8th grade opposite team (7-C and 8-C)

  11. Band, Chorus and orchestra • Most rehearsals are held during the R/A period Bands: Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Jam Band, Jazz Band, Drumline, and Mallets Chorus: Young Men’s Vocal Ensemble, Choraliers, and Middlemasters Orchestra: String Ensemble

  12. Gym class • Changing – you only have until the bell, around three minutes • Be quick and don’t waste time – you will be marked late if you are not out when they are taking role • Have an extra pair of longer pants because it may be cold if you go outside

  13. Assemblies/Core block • Assemblies are held in the auditorium • You will sit in the chairs that are in there – not on the floor like you usually do • On two days in your schedule you will have “core block” – you will either continue with your arts class or meet with your team for activities
