Understanding What We Are • 9thSeason of JSFA – What are we trying to do? • Good Sportsmanship / Can Do – Will Do / Be Passionate about what we do • Excellent Preparation and Delivery – RELEVANT TO STUDENTS / SCHOOLS / PARENTS • Be aware of how unique we all are EVERYONE PLAYS A PART IN MAKING IT WORK 210 TEAMS FROM 64 SCHOOLS 3500 STUDENTS IT ONLY WORKS IF WE SHARE THE WORKLOAD

  3. League – Code of Conduct • All schools must sign the Code of Conduct and League Disclaimer letter BEFORE season starts. HAVE YOU? • Respect match Officials at ALL times. • Coaches must be aware of parental involvement / responsibility. You are responsible • Pitch incursion is unacceptable without referee approval, tending to injured players excepted • No parents/spectators on goal lines. • Coaches are accountable for parent/coaches conduct. • Coaches must give good example at all times. • Fair Play For All

What you must DO? – Key Tasks • Complete Player Registration by December 31st • Read and know league Rules and Code of Conduct • Prepare and have with you at all games your player registration sheet (Important) • Register on JSFA Twitter site to receive urgent messages • Complete your team details on web-site (Kit etc) • Identify and know the venue coordinators • Know how to contact the League Management • REPRESENT JSFA VALUES

DIVISIONS - 24MIXED, 2 ALL GIRLS • Under 8’s – A, B, C, D (4) • Under 10’s – A, B, C, D, E, F (6) • Under 12’s – A, B, C, D, E (5) • Under 14’s – A, B, C, D (4) • Under 16’s – A, B, C (3) • Under 18’s – (1) • All Girls U12 – (1) • All Girls Senior– (1) • Committee Allocation is final • Grading games used for new teams (ARE YOU IN THE WRONG DIVISION ?) • 3new schools joined in 2013 WE DO OUR BEST – WE NEED YOUR HELP – BE IN THE BEST DIVISION FOR ALL

The Fixture List • 12 week season – Jan 11th– March 29th • Greenfields Cup – Jan 26th– Sunday. • Chinese New Year issues. • Agreed off-days/Sunday back-up emergencies only. • Mid-week matches strongly encouraged with league officials sanctioned by league and approved by the League. • 2 fixture changes only. • Web-site – League Approval – Venue • COMMUNICATE WITH US

The Fixtures Challenge • We need to play 980 plus matches to complete the programme. • We need to co-ordinate 10 venues most Saturdays between 07.30AM and 2.00PM. • We need to maintain momentum all day and start / finish on-time. • IT WORKS LIKE CLOCKWORK OR IT DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. • We need your help and support • Be on-time and be aware • Our job is the logistics – Your job is your team

  8. Fixtures and Fixture Changes Rules • You will receive full fixtures before the season starts • You must inform us within 14 days of receiving if dates cannot be met • You must obtain league approval to move dates • Fixtures are locked down Wednesday 11.00am • NO CHANGES • WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

Match Days • Web-site is primary source of everything • Check on Mondays and Wednesdays before games • Mid-week alternate dates allowed with written approval only • Be 20 minutes early with minimum players allowed • Be 10 minutes late – lose 3 points (NO exceptions) • Half time results stand if match abandoned • Lightning Policy with VC’s only • Complete match sheets and sign-off • Control your players at all times YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE

  10. Rules and Regulations • FIFA rules with specific amendments. (See web-site) • No offsides in U8/U10 (No goal hanging). • Rolling unlimited substitutes during stoppage in play. • U8 Special Rules. • U14/U16 Red/Yellow cards will be used. • No coaching from behind goals/parents not allowed behind goals. • Venue inconsistencies ? – BE AWARE • Shin-Pads must be worn – SPECS ARE ALLOWED • Report serious injuries, verbal abuse, bullying to VC on-site & Committee IT ONLY WORKS IF VOLUNTEERS CONTRIBUTE TO OUR TASK

Match Officials and Reporting • 50 Referees on Panel – Officials must be present at all games for results to count. • 1 official at U8/U10 – 3 officials at U12/U14/U16. • Deliver all match reports and scores to VC or referees after the games signed (Print from web-site). • Abandoned matches and no show rulings with VC. • Results and League Table updated Sunday morning at latest. • Show respect to Officials always. • Show respect to opposing Coaches. • Show respect to the VC. WE ARE A SCHOOL COMMUNITY WITH VALUES NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT EFFORT FROM US ALL COMMUNICATION IS EVERYTHING

Age Abuse is Unacceptable • U8 – No player allowed to play if born before 1.9.2005 • U10 – No player allowed to play if born before 1.9.2003 • U12 – No player allowed to play if born before 1.9.2001 • U14 – No player allowed to play if born before 1.9.1999 • U16 – No player allowed to play if born before 1.9.1997 • U18 – No player allowed to play if born before 1.9.1995 • Register players on Web-site DOB/ID. • We will audit all successful teams/players. • Over age players will be banned. • Team deducted 3 Points on First Offence. • Team Banned on Second Offence. • Please Cooperate at all times, Report violation’s • Carry your ID. • FAIRNESS FOR ALL

Venue Coordinators – A Key Role! • Support school coaches, referees and teams • Encourage sportsmanship and fair play, support referees • Ensure parents/coaches/players abide by the rules • Check advertising banners are displayed • Prepare score sheets and prepare sign-boards • Have Game Balls and Bibs ready • Coordinate Coca-Cola drink provision • Monitor weather reports and decide on cancellations • Register team on arrivals and ensure photos taken • Remind U8 about Mercy Rule • Email Marc Sprakel scores, results, any issues • Venues upload team & action photos on JSFA Picasa site

Rules Reminders • All Players must be registered (NO exceptions). • All Players must attend their school and be within age (Any exceptions will be accepted in writing by the League) • All Players must be identifiable on web-site. • All Coaches must carry ID list and registration copy. • Team data is password protected. • MATCH DAYS • Know your upcoming matches well ahead of dates. • You are allowed a maximum of 2 changes pre-season. • Know your location and time – BE THERE 20 MINUTES AHEAD AND INFORM THE VC ON ARRIVAL.
