Copycat Brands • Copy cant brands imitate the manufacturer’s brand in appearance and packaging, generally are perceived as lower quality and are offered at lower prices. • Copycat brands abound in drugstores. • Walgreen’s brands are placed next to the manufacturer’s brands and often look alike.

  3. Premium Brands • Premium brands offer the consumer a private label that is comparable to, or even superior to, a manufacturer’s brand quality, sometimes with modest price savings. • Premium Brands can be found at Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club here in Rapid City. • An example of a premium private label would include: • Wal-Mart’s - Sam’s Choice
