  11. Frequently Asked Questions • On Distinguished Level of Achievement would it be possible for Statistics to be substituted for Algebra II? • No. Algebra II is required in order to earn Distinguished Level of Achievement. We also believe that Algebra II is extremely beneficial for any student considering going to a 4 year university. • What Sciences would be available in the Distinguished Level of Achievement for the Medical, Biology, or PT pathway. • CHS offers, Biology AP and Anatomy and Physiology. Any student considering these various fields should register for our Health Science Program. • Who will graduate on the Foundation Program? • All incoming Freshman, Class of 2018, will graduate on the Foundation Program. Class of 2017, Class of 2016 and Class 2015 we are moving to the Foundation Program, however, HB-5 allows us to graduate a student on the previous Minimum/Recommended Plan if it more beneficial to the student. We will look at this on a student by student basis. • What courses apply to Public Service Track? • We offer both Health Science Technology Courses and which include: Principles of Health Science, Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, Heath Science I, Certified Nurses Assistant (for a certification) and EMT Dual Credit. Also, we offer Culinary art and Hospitality courses which include: Principles of Human Service, Culinary Arts I and Culinary Arts II. • Is Physics still required for all incoming Juniors? • Physics is not required, but is a great upper level Science choice. CHS is going to highly recommend that all Juniors who are college bound to take Physics because there are Physics concepts tested on the ACT and SAT. • Can Freshmen attend the ACT Boot Camp? • The ACT Boot Camp is designed for students who are going to take the ACT with in 2 to 3 weeks of the boot camp. Priority is given to Upper Classman. If there is space available then we do allow Freshman to participate.
