Why me? • I am not a medical educator • I am not a researcher I work with medical educators and I am passionate about the topic and personally use social media in all aspects of my professional and personal life.
Objectives • Share a general definition of what is meant by social media • Provide examples of how the more common applications are being used • Identify suggested best practices for continued use
What is Social Media? Social media is media designed to be disseminated through social interaction, created using highly accessible and scalable publishing techniques.
