Lafarge, a world leader in building materials, is implementing a comprehensive Group-wide occupational health program. This plan includes regular medical examinations and extends best practices for HIV/AIDS and malaria from Africa to major emerging countries. Positive results have been seen in African employees, with mortality rates decreasing and absenteeism due to malaria reducing. Lafarge is partnering with the Global Business Coalition to support their public health programs, expand training modules, and develop action plans in Russia, Ukraine, and China. With the support of their partners, Lafarge aims to address public health concerns globally.
