  1. Let us pray for wisdom. Let us pause from thinking and empty our mind. Let us stop the noise. In the silence let us listen to our heart. The heart which is buried alive. Let us be still and wait and listen carefully. A sound from the deep, from below. A faint cry. A weak tapping. Distant muffled feelings from within. The cry for help.

  2. Dear God, we pray for another way of being: another way of knowing. Across the difficult terrain of our existence we have attempted to build a highway and in so doing have lost our footpath. God lead us to our footpath: Lead us there where in simplicity we may move at the speed of natural creatures and feel the earth's love beneath our feet.

  3. Dear God,We give thanks for places of simplicity and peace;let us find such a place within ourselves.We give thanks for places of refuge and beauty;let us find such a place within ourselves Amen

  4. Dear GodWe give thanks for places of nature’s truth and freedom, of joy, inspiration and renewal, places where all creatures may find acceptance and belonging.

  5. Dear Lord,Let us search for special places; in the world, in ourselves and in others. Let us restore them. Let us strengthen and protect them and let us create them. May we mend this outer world according to the truth of our inner life and may our souls be shaped and nourished by nature’s eternal wisdom. Amen.

  6. Dear God, Let us pray for Little scraps of peace and quiet,Hope, conversation, handshakes –All in dribs and drabs.A few crumbs of fun,A tiny flake of beauty,One teaspoon of enthusiasm –Offcuts of each other.A skerrick of community, Amen

  7. Dear God, Let us pray for A snippet of eye contact,A snippet of hospitality,A snippet of patience,A shred of honour,A wisp of good humour,A sample of compassion –Leftovers, oddments,Remnants of the glorious situation.A fragment of God, Amen

  8. Dear Lord, Thank you for the fun of camp, of the good things that being together bring us. Thank you, lord, for the opportunity to live as community, to share and understand our needs and those of others. Thank you for the sunshine when it comes, and the rain that washes our world clean May we learn to respect our world and strive for peace

  9. Dear Lord Thank you for the opportunity to work together as a group To come together To enjoy the opportunity to learn To give in return for receiving And to support each other Amen

  10. Loving God Thank you for weekends For time to sleep in For time to be lazy and play in the sun For time to spend with friends For time to appreciate our families and those we are close to For time to be ourselves
