  4. Why Would Bones Not Fuse Right Away? • We are still growing!! • Allows for your organs, muscles, nerves, arteries and veins to have room to migrate to their final destinations

  5. Bones that take a while to fuse/ossify: • When do all 28(ish) bones of the skull fuse together? • Between ages 13-18! • What about the sacrum? • Between ages 25-30! • The humerus? • Around age 20! • Don’t tell me the pelvis, too!? • As late as age 25 Google Images
