3. Aims of the project - 1 • Providing work places and revitalizing of the region’s economy. Development of the economy of the region in the sphere of: • Agricultural, food and cannery industry. Growth of ethereal crops and extraction of attar, herbs, mushrooms, etc. • Hotel business and balneology, tourism – rural, eco, wine and culturally-historical

Aims of the project - 2 • Establishing infrastructure and structure for purposes of tourism which would be registered in the European Union and the world tourist agencies. • Overall increase of the wellbeing of the inhabitants. • Revealing and displaying the cultural and historical heritage of which there is abundance in the region and providing work places for the people acquainted and studying history of the region.

6. Geographic outlineof the project - 1 • Route – “Road of the ORPHEUS” begins at Plovdiv city, goes through Kuklen Municipality on the way to Assenovgrad Municipality, Through Bachkovo village towards the fork of Ugovo village and here there are three other forks: • a k a winter route - through Narechenski bani, the towns of Chepelare, Smolyan, Rudozem, Chepintzi village and continues in the Greek Republic. • a k a summer route - through Luky town, the villages of Manastir, Davidkovo, Banite and towards Smolyan town, continues through Rudozem town, Chepintzi village and arrives at Kavala city in the Greek Republic.
