John Winston Lennon, nato il 9 ottobre 1940 a Liverpool, in Gran Bretagna, dimostrò fin da bambino di possedere uno spirito ribelle, avido di libertà, e una grande passione per la chitarra che imparò a suonare prestissimo.Verso la fine degli anni Cinquanta con Paul Mc Cartney, George Harrison e Ringo Starr, formò il gruppo dei Beatles “scarafaggi”.Nell’ aprile del 1970 il gruppo si sciolse e, da allora, John s’ impegnò profondamente in favore della pace nel mondo,anche con clamorosi atti pubblici di protesta.L’8 dicembre 1980 fu assassinato, a New York, probabilmente da un “fan” in cerca di notorietà.
