Current Status • State Destiny Textbook Manager implementation is past its midpoint • 63 districts and over 1000 schools on system • Tracking over 2 million textbook copies • Planning underway for moving in the 3 locally-installed Textbook Manager districts over the summer • Greenville, Spartanburg 7, Lexington 5 • New enhancements to the State Destiny Textbook Manager system are now available

  3. Enhancements Overview • Receiving orders from the State • Returning textbooks to the State • Annual state textbook inventory process • Reviewing outstanding charges for lost textbooks New functions in Textbook Manager will now replace these existing functions in the mysctextbooks.com system.

  5. Quick Help Documents • All documentation is available on the mysctextbooks.com site under What’s New section.

  6. Receiving orders • Textbooks shipped from State Depository will now show in Textbook Manager as transfers from State • Orders shipped from State could contain barcoded textbooks and new textbooks • Scan barcoded textbooks to receive • Enter counts of new textbooks to receive • You can assign barcodes to new textbooks as they are received, or at a later time • As orders are sent to your district, your inventory for state-owned textbooks is automatically increased

  7. Transfers within a district • All state-owned textbook transfers between schools within a district should be completed using the Transfer Textbooks function in Destiny Textbook Manager • As textbooks are transferred between schools, each school’s inventory for state-owned textbooks is automatically adjusted • Information on all completed transfers is available on the new Archive tab

  8. Returning textbooks to State • All textbook returns to the State are will now be handled with new Returns functionality • Functionality is very similar to existing process • Barcoded textbooks are scanned when defining a return • Provide a count for each title for new textbooks being returned

State Inventory Process • State-wide inventory will be completed in Destiny Textbook Manager for all state-owned books • Scan barcoded copies • Enter counts for titles/copies that are not barcoded • Books checked in after May 1 will not need to be rescanned for inventory • Keep these books separated from other available inventory to minimize the scanning

  10. State Inventory Process • System will remind users of the need to complete inventory in the system • All incoming transfers must be received before beginning your inventory process • Once the results of the inventory have been reviewed by the State, information on charges or credits can be accessed in the system
