Responds to an expressed need from countries for systematic inventory and information on food security actions, e.g. “mapping’’, - 2007 CFS requested FAO to assist member countries in developing such information - 2008 CFS requested review of monitoring and reporting processes - 2009 CFS reform process and work of UN-HLTF - Following AFSI meeting in Dec 2009, CFS Chair requested CFS Secretariat and HLTF to develop a proposal for a country-owned ‘mapping’ mechanism
