2. Structural Adaptations • One of giraffes important adaptations is their long necks. Their long necks are important because it helps them reach leaves in tall trees so, they can eat. • Their second adaptation is their hoofs. Their hoofs are very dangerous because they can sometimes kill the predator that is chasing them. • Their third adaptation is their tongue. Their tongue helps them grip and pull the leaves from the tree they are eating from.

3. Behavioral Adaptations • One of the giraffes behavioral adaptations is roaming. It helps them survive, because when they roam they find food. That’s their source for finding food. • Their second adaptation is rubbing their necks together. It is important for when they are older because it will help them fight. • Their last adaptation is pacing. It helps them run faster when a predator is chasing them.

4. Habitat • The giraffe lives in the savannah of Africa. • Giraffes live in savannahs to eat leaves on the trees because giraffes have long necks and savannahs have tall trees. • Giraffes also need access to tall acacia trees because it is their main food.

5. Diet • Giraffes are herbivores and their main food is acacia trees. • It also eats leaves plucked from trees, shrubs, mimosa, and wild apricot trees • Giraffes can survive weeks without water. Giraffes are in danger of attack when they drink because they can’t see their enemies sneak up on them they try to get water through leaves and sometimes by drinking water
