  2. Submodular Set Functions A function f : 2NR is submodular if f(A) + f(B) ≥ f(AB) + f(AB) for all A,B N Equivalently, f(A+j) – f(A) ≥ f(A+i+j) – f(A+i) for all A N and i, j N\A
