LAT Status • LAT completed commissioning at SLAC May 10th. • Determined effort by the Commissioner: Eric Grove • Excellent support leadership from • System Engineering: Pat Hascall • Electronics/ FSW: Gunther Haller • I&T OnLine: Ric Claus • OffLine: Anders Borgland • Packed up on May 11th and departed by dedicated truck (photos to follow) • Arrived NRL on Sunday, May 14th and installed in clean tent. MGSE and EGSE arrived on Tuesday, May 16th. • Up and running by Wednesday, completed post ship comprehensive performance test on Friday. • Continued calibrations and additional tests thru the weekend. • Installed new flight software and completed regression tests by Wednesday • Successfully completed Pre Environmental Review with GSFC on Thursday. • Moved to Vibration Test Lab on Friday. Vibe testing began yesterday.

Conclusion • The LAT is complete and tested. • No significant anomalies detected to date, except • Radiator heaters were damaged during assembly process and are now being replaced • No performance anomalies detected. Trending shows same instrument throughout assembly and test program. • The LAT Flight Software is essentially complete. • Missing GRB detection algorithm and event filter additions • Neither particularly relevant for ground testing. • Development will continue on the test bed at SLAC. • New OnLine operating system – LICOS – commissioned • The LAT project has successfully transferred activities (and people) to NRL and is efficiently executing its environmental test program.
