Australian Open 2023 Brief

Peter Biantes Said that this is the first major menu2019s singles event since the 2002 Australian Open when the top two seeds lost before the third round. Like the previous major held a few months earlier, neither of the top two seeds advanced to the quarterfinals, with Nadal and Ruud both losing in the second round. Due to Daniil Medvedevu2019s defeat to Sebastian Korda in the third round, the top half of the draw produced the first-ever Australian Open champion.
