  3. City Water Update • Kleinburg will move off of wells to Peel Region (lake Ontario based) in 2012 • South Kleinburg – end of May • Rest – 3rd quarter

  4. Kleinburg Streetscape • Original Study Completed • Estimated budget to implement $3.95MM. • Expect significant funding from “other sources” – public/private partnership • BIA leading effort to raise enough to start detailed planning this year • alignment of plans with Major Mack widening

  5. TransCanada Parkway Pipeline • Portions of line from Vaughan through Brampton to be ‘twinned’ including section from Kipling to Weston (to increase capacity) • Concerns – capacity, pressure, integrity, route – met with TransCanada • Originally planned to deviate from current route through subdivision at Kirby/Stephanie around south end of subdivision - KARA and Residents opposed • Current plan is to keep along current right-of-way

Summary of Planned Developments • Nashville Heights • 2500 units total (1820 low/med density) • 8300 people/jobs • Kleinburg Heights • 69 Units North End ~ 200 people • Servicing and Sewage Pump on Stevenson under construction – complete in 2012 • Molise & Lake Rivers/Kleinburg Hills • ~850 units – access via Major Mack. ~ 2000 people • starting later this year • Kerrowood • 46 units N of Cornerstone Church ~125 people

Summary of Planned Developments • Kleinvit Estates (North of Hedgerow) • 114 Units ~ 350 people • Pine Heights (Teston/Pine Valley) • 1300 units ~ 4000 people • Kleinburg Village • Redcroft (Dawson) Property ~ 52 units • More to come? • New Vaughan OP Areas • Area 1 – Nashville Triangle - ~200 people • Area 2 – Huntington Stud Farm ~ 2600 people • Areas 5&6 – Kipling S of Kirby ~ 2200 people

Traffic Updates • Truck ban continues on Nashville Road • Seeking better enforcement on Nashville, Islington & Stegman’s • Speed limit reduction on Highway 27 • Stop light on 27 North (2012) • Still seeking left turn prohibition S 27 onto Islington during morning peak • Meeting with Police/Road Watch re aggressive and dangerous driving

Road Widening • Major Mack planned to be widened to 4 lanes beginning in 2013 • Pine Valley to Weston – 2013 • Hwy 27 to Pine Valley – 2014 • Hwy 27 to 50 – 2014 – 2016 • Design will include potential to upgrade to 6 lanes in future • Continue to push for bike lanes off the road • Coordinate design with Streetscape at Islington/Major Mack. • Meeting with residents and Region to discuss issues (safety, noise, aesthetics, etc.) and review design
