ACQUISITION APPROACHES SATOC • Well suited for moderate size projects with defined scopes and time allows for meaningful negotiations. • Multiple negotiations are often required, and occasionally we do not achieve mutual agreement. • Contractor proposal’s are based on RS Means and pre-negotiated coefficientsfor SRM IDCs. 8(a) Match IDIQs • Use current authority to non competitively award 8(a) Contractors a contract with values up to $4M. • Consideration to workload and capability necessary MATOC • Better suited for large design build projects, allowing for multiple design solutions to be considered. • Fair opportunity requires us compete work with all contractors in the pool. • Expensive and time consuming to put contracts/ task orders into place.
