  2. Continue Fighting Against Lynas! Why is Lynas bad for Malaysia? • A large amount of radioactive waste will be produced. It is dangerous to health. • The radioactive waste will remain dangerous for millions of years • Radioactive waste should not be stored in an area where 700,000 people live (in other countries, they even bury such waste deep inside mountains) • Radioactive dust can be blown around by the wind (even to faraway places)

  3. Continue Fighting Against Lynas! Why is Lynas bad for Malaysia? • The waste can go into Sungai Balok and into the South China Sea. This will make fish radioactive and dangerous to eat. This will destroy our fishing industry. • Floods can spread the dangerous waste around • A dangerous radioactive gas called Radon will also be produced

  4. Continue Fighting Against Lynas! Why is Lynas bad for Malaysia? • Strong acids (chemicals) will be used by Lynas. These will also get into the drinking water supply. • Lynas project is already hurting the economy of Kuantan --- tourism, value of housing and other property
