TROUGH MY EYES Tereza Navrátilová
England-2002/languagecourse • I was sent (by plane) to England by my beloved father by the means of Student Agency. • My destination was a little village Tavistock and the school Kelly College in this village. • My stay lasted fourteen days but if it had been up to me, I would have been there for the whole year.
ENGLAND 2002/LANGUAGE COURSE • The English students of this college were organizing all our activities. • All of them were very fine, they were relaxed and they had holidays as we did. • Our group consisted of nine Czechs and seven Slovaks. • So we made up just a small part of all the holiday students. • Most students were from Italyand Germany.
ENGLAND 2002/LANGUAGE COURSE • In the morning we had lessons at school from 9 a.m. with one teacher (I had Lucy) and from 11 a.m. with another teacher (I can't remember his name but he was a black Afro American). • Each teacher taught us for one and half hour without any break. • Fortunately, I was the only one Czech-speaking student in our class so I had to keep using English language.
ENGLAND 2002/LANGUAGE COURSE • In the afternoons we used to do some sport activities and competitions. • The main rule was - not to have the same language groups together. • During these two weeks we visited two near towns - Plymouth on the coast and Exeter.
ENGLAND 2002/LANGUAGE COURSE • The school building was made of stones so it was very cold. There were two cricket grounds next to it. FOTO:
