It is expecting to keep the same trend for the following years 2019-2021. According to Steven Wyatt, IFR Vice President, presented preview by regions, markets and key challenges - Chicago, Apr 10, 2019 — The preliminary statistics of the World Robotics Report shows that a new record high of 384,000 units were shipped globally in 2018 – an increase of one percent compared to the previous year. This means that the annual sales volume of industrial robots increased for the sixth time in a row (2013-2018) – but only just. Dec 13, 2018 — Since 2013, global sales of industrial robots have accelerated reaching an all-time high of more than 380,000 units, twice as much as in 2013. After this period of high demand, installations of industrial robots only slightly increased in the first half of 2018, according to Mr. Junji Tsuda,  President of the IFR. Where we are TODAY
