Speculum-an on-line magazine for transversal policies 2 March Meet the staff, visit the school and working session. We were impressed by the unusual school building and enjoyed Maria and Antonio’s hospitality showing us around. The whole bunch of our lovely family followed Maria to different places of Vitorino Nemesio Secondary School. (Ernesta from Lithuania)
Speculum-an on-line magazine for transversal policies 2 March Most noteworthy for us were the friendliness and helpfulness of the Portuguese people which we experienced on many occasions.Of course, the school (highly esteemed by the city counsel) and its representatives in this project are an excellent example of beautiful Portugal and its friendly and helpful population. We feel sorry for themthat they have to move and leave their beloved site ( Kees ) We were quite impressed by the "magical powers" ofMaria Reis...She seems to have a short cut with St. Peter and we are anxious to knowmore about this next time we meet...
Speculum-an on-line magazine for transversal policies 2 March (Ernesta from Lithuania) We again were quite serious about the work we were obliged to do. Nevertheless, it hasn’t lessen our happiness seeing each other again and sharing impressions and activities together.Anne and Renate presented the materials for the first issue. We were really satisfied and impressed with their and our work. We are really a good team.

Speculum-an on-line magazine for transversal policies 3 March Working session in the morning. We were very attentive and tried to agree with the proposals for Speculum issue n° 2. Our energetic Dutch guys Kees and Bert will lead our team along the final sprint of our first project year.
Speculum-an on-line magazine for transversal policies 3 March In the afternoon Historical visit of the city Lisboa.... uma boa cidade! For us Lisboa was an amazing mix of the old and the new. The old wehave explored to the maximum of our possibilities both with our hosts aswell as independently. The whole city reminds the visitor of Lisboa's glorious past as asailing and conquering nation. The old was very beautiful indeed.
Speculum-an on-line magazine for transversal policies Wow.. what a booming city! The new we admired very, very much. Not only were the modern buildingsvery nice but also the entire concept of city development has been verythoughtful of this new quarter near the Expo area. It is amazing to seehow an area which was not so long ago the poorest part of town now hasdeveloped into its richest... We were also invited to buy one of the apartments for over 400.000euros... But one then also has the chance to win a Ferrari of 190.000euros...Encouraging this is for us in Europe as we can see how quicklydevelopment may arise from scratch once money and dedication are benttowards this purpose... Especially now when new European members are coming who were economically less fortunate than us
Speculum-an on-line magazine for transversal policies We loved to plunge ourselves into the Portuguese way of life. Most noteworthy for us were the friendliness and helpfulness of thePortuguese people which we experienced on many occasions.Together with the fine climate and the beauty of the country we canunderstand why so many northern Europeans have flocked into thiswonderful country of Portugal.
Speculum-an on-line magazine for transversal policies 4 March It was clear you have done everything you could do to show us yourcity. Speculum-an on-line magazine for transversal policies We had good fun and wonderful time together during the outings to a number of beautiful places. Though the sea wind was quite strong it was unable to scatter our happy family. The moments spent together will forever remain in our memories as unforgettable and most valuable impressions. We hope soon to see each other again in the Netherlands, where energetic Dutch guys Kees and Bert will lead our team along the final sprint of our first project year. SEE YOU IN LEEWARDEN
