Kuala Lumpur, July 2nd 2013 The ANRS International VISCONTI Post Treatment Controller Cohort
OBJECTIVES • To build an international cohort of Post Treatment Controllers in order to : • Uncover mechanisms underlying viral control, i.e. HIV remission • Identify predictive markers associated with viral control after treatment interruption • Main Outcome: To identify patients in whom HAART could be safely interrupted
To increase the number of cases: • To describe epidemiological and clinical characteristics of PTC • Age, sex, PHI, Time of treatment initiation, treatment duration, ARV combinations used, transmission group… • To describe Virological and Immunological characteristics • Analyse and quantification of the cellular and anatomical reservoirs • Viral properties and interactions between viral and cellular proteins • Innate and adaptive immunity, antibody response…. • To Compare to other cohortsof patients at different stages of HIV infection: PHI, HIV controllers, Chronic patients, patients on HAART…
Methodology • Inclusion criteria • Treatment initiation with VL >2000 HIV-RNA copies/ml, whatever the timing of infection • Treatment for more than 12 months • Viral control after Treatment interruption below 400 copies/ml for at least 12 months • Data collected once a year
