  6. Information Sources Careers Read the relevant pages in Subject Choice Booklet Talk to other pupils already taking the subjects Talk to your teachers Talk to your parents 6 6

  7. You now have a choice of subjects from the lists below. You choose one subject from each of the Groups 1 to 3. You choose two subjects from Group 4, unless you have chosen Double Science in Group 3, in which case you choose one subject from Group 4. You choose one subject from the Group 5. Please note that the a Group 5 subject will be offered in TWO periods a week

  10. Choosing subjects Does your daughter enjoy the subject? Is your daughter good at the subject? Does your daughter need the subject for a particular course or career? Research the GCSE subject – no hasty decisions and no nasty surprises

  12. Help in School Careers Planning Day - Sentinus Guidance session with careers adviser from DEL Presentation on subject choices from QUB Information session with Mrs Connery & Mrs Hearst Question and answer sessions in form classes with Mrs Hearst

  13. Resources Use Careers Suite-JED and other websites on the careers section of the school website Speak to careers adviser or any member of Careers Department Use facilities on a regular basis Mrs Hearst is available to meet with parents and pupils this evening
