  2. In your experience… • At a church camp • When faced with tough circumstances • Gradually, through Sunday School classes or Bible Study • Being confronted on the street or somewhere

  3. In the Bible … • When a miracle happened • When a relative or friend introduced the person to Christ • After preaching • In tough circumstances

  4. Romans 10:9-15 • Must confess with your mouth • Believe in your heart • Call on the name of the Lord • How can they call if they have not believed? • How can they believe if they have not heard? • How can they hear without a preacher? • Who will preach unless they are sent?

  5. Mark 16:15, 16 Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved but whoever does not believe will be condemned

  6. John 15: 13, 14 • Greater love has no man than this that he lay down his life for his friends • You are My friends if you do what I command you • So, are you obeying Christ by sharing the good news?

  7. If you call yourself a Christian you must be involved in sharing the gospel somehow … • A Bible study/discussion group • Conversations with people • Invitation to camp • A programme to reach the neighbours • Dinners where the Gospel is shared

  8. Our mission is • A continuation of Jesus’ mission Lk 19:10 • A wonderful privilege II Cor. 5:16-20 • A great act of love John 15:13 • Of eternal significance I Thess 2:19,20

  9. Imagine how this looks from the “other side” • A good mate • A hard working person • An honest person • Really loved people • Motivated • Community minded • But never told me how to become a Christian

  10. So what will you do about this? • See Lawrence • Organise an outreach to the neighbours • Organise a dinner where the gospel will be shared • Start (or support) a Bible study • Invite a friend to Camp
