  4. Job Description A marine architect's job is about design and oversee construction and repair of marine craft and floating structures such as ships, barges, tugs, dredges, submarines, torpedoes, floats, and buoys. May confer with marine engineers.

  5. Educational Requirements an accredited or approved Masters degree; an accredited Bachelors degree with honors in engineering or technology an appropriate Masters degree accredited or approved by a professional engineering institution appropriate further learning to Masters level.

  6. Duties & Responsibilities Perform performance analysis to verify design, stability, and operation of floating system. Make sure floating systems work well within weight, space and power requirements. Research and propose new ideas on design, construction and mechanical systems. Review designs and features of the new designs and recommend improvements.
