  3. God Desires to be Worshipped! • '(for you shall worship no other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God), (Exodus 34:14 NKJV)

  4. God Desires to be Worshipped! • The Lord Requires His Worshippers to Be Prepared For Worship

  5. Israel Prepared For Worship • Ark of the covenant (Ex. 25:10-22) • Table of the showbread (Ex. 25:23-30) • The golden lampstand (Ex. 25:31-40) • The tabernacle (Ex. 26) and the court that would surround it (Ex. 27:9-19) • The altar of burnt offering (Ex. 27:1-8) • The priestly garments and articles they would wear (Ex. 28) • Aaron and His sons consecrated as priests (Ex. 29) • Other items: animals for sacrifice, incense, oils, etc. • There was painstaking and incredibly detailed instructions about preparing!

  6. Christians Should Be Prepared to Worship • (1 Corinthians 14:40) • Let all things be done decently and in order.

  7. God Desires to be Worshipped! • The Lord Requires His Worshippers to Be Prepared For Worship • Remember who you are worshipping. • Now He said to Moses, "Come up to the LORD, you and Aaron...” (Exodus 24:1 NKJV)

Create An Environment Suitable to Christ • (Revelation 1:20) “……the seven lampstands which you saw are the seven churches. • (Revelation 2:1) Jesus “…who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands” • (Revelation 2:5) "Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place--unless you repent.”

And they said, ‘All that the LORD has said we will do, and be obedient.’" (Exodus 24:7 NKJV)

How Do You Prepare For Worship? • Have you resolved issues with your brethren? • "Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, "leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. (Matthew 5:23-24 NKJV)

  16. How Do You Prepare For Worship? • Have you prepared your mind? • Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. • (Psalms 29:2 NKJV)

  17. How Do You Prepare For Worship? • Do you lay every worldly care aside? • “Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God…” • (1 Ch. 22:19)

  18. How Do You Prepare For Worship? • Have you prepared to pray? • If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear. • (Psalms 66:18 NKJV) • “…The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” • (James 5:16 NKJV)

How Do You Prepare For Worship? • Have you prepared to sing? • “…I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding.” • (1 Cor. 14:15b) • Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. (Colossians 3:16 NKJV)

  20. How Do You Prepare For Worship? • Have you prepared to take the Lord’s Supper? • “But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
