  2. Intro This unit we have been studying metals and their reactivity. We did many experiments such as the one with thermite’s reaction to heat. We found out that the aluminum is more reactive than iron oxide because it took all the oxygen.

  3. What We Are Investigating We are investigating how to know when some metals were found and their place on the reactivity series. Also if there is a relationship then what is it? To find this I will take a reaction series put it in a table from least reactive to most reactive then the dates they were found and compare.

  4. If you look at the table on the left you will notice that the more recent the metal was discovered the more reactive it was. There are very few exceptions but this pattern is for many of the metals.
