The Seychelles Fishing Authority • EEZ: 1.3 Million Km2 • Accounts for 33% of gross foreign currency inflow (US $ 361 Million - 2011) • Catch (Artisanal + Semi Industrial) = 3000 MT • 90% consumed locally • Exports = 38,241 MT valued at US $ 248,000,000 • Exports consists mainly of canned tuna

Production in 2011 • Canned Tuna main commodity. • 90% of production • Production of canned tuna= 30,152 MT • Also, fish meal and fish oil produced as by-products • Fish Meal = 4,088 MT • Fish Oil = 767 MT • Smoked Fish = 29.4 MT • Dried Sea Cucumber & Shark Fin = 110 MT
