  1. A House For God And behold, I propose to build a house for the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD spoke to my father David, saying, "Your son, whom I will set on your throne in your place, he shall build the house for My name.” 1 Kings 5:5

  2. The Best Quality Faith In becoming and being Christians, we are proposing to build God a house - 1 Cor.3:10-17 The inner man must be strengthened and prepared for this shared place - Eph.3:16-19 It is no longer "me" or about me doing my own thing. It is about Christ "living in me" - Gal.2:20

  3. The Best Quality Character Character gives hope, and hope is a product of our love and respect for God - Rom.5:1-5 Character is developed by God through a tender heart - Isa.57:15 The best quality of character is developed by loving Jesus and keeping His word - Jno.14:23

  4. The Best Use of the Body: Holiness or Extensions of Jesus This body is viewed as an instrument to be used in extending the holy purposes and standards of God. Unholy choices are insults to God. It is not giving God your best in principles employed, moral convictions held, and behavior seen and observed - 1 Cor.6:12-20

  5. Living A Superior Life For A Superior Purpose • We know and believe the love God has for us - 1 Jno.4:16 • Our purpose is to perfect our love for God and man - 1 Jn.4:17a • This superior purpose transports us safely to the judgment - 1 Jn. 4:17b-21 • This is a far superior destiny • You are headed for the judgment anyway • You might as well go there fully prepared to face God as your Friend and not as your enemy
