What is a Podcast? • Definition from Wikipedia • A series of digital media files distributed over the Internet • Distribution is done by subscription using RSS • Podcasts may be listened to on computers or portable MP3 players • The hosts or authors of a podcast are referred to as podcasters.
Tools Needed to Create Podcasts • Computer connected to the Internet • Microphone for audio podcasts • Headphones to hear you final product • Camera for video podcasts • Software is free: Audacity (audio), Movie Maker (video), and Koyote Video Converter (video)

Using the ULEAP Media Server To upload your first podcast episode click on podcast capture
Using the ULEAP Media Server Log in using your Admin name and password
Using the ULEAP Media Server Click on File icon to upload your media file
Using the ULEAP Media Server Click on Browse button to navigate and locate your media file to upload
Using the ULEAP Media Server Navigate and locate your media file to upload. Click on Open
Using the ULEAP Media Server Your podcast workflow name will automatically be selected. Give the podcast episode a name and fill in the description. Finally, click Publish.
Using the ULEAP Media Server You media file is being uploaded IMPORTANT: Do not name your media files using characters the web does not recognize, e.g. / ” - ; : \.
Using the ULEAP Media Server Congratulations. You have completed your first podcast upload. You can continue to upload new media files by clicking New podcast button
