As in English, direct objects may be replaced by direct object pronouns. In order to keep it simple, we are only going to refer to things, not people. Direct object pronouns for things are: SINGULAR lo = it la = it PLURAL los = them las = them
PLACEMENT: DOP’s in Spanish must go BEFORE the conjugated verb, NOT AFTER (like in English). You play the guitar. (Dir. Obj.) Tútocasla guitarra. (Dir. Obj.) You play it. (DOP) Túla tocas. (DOP)
