  3. This coast line is rocky with many coves and inlets This is useful for shipping and tourism? This land is really FERTILE ( lots of things grow in the soil) what job might lots of people do here? High snow capped mountains. It is much hotter down this end of the country can you think why? The beaches here are long and sandy. What would this be a good area for? There are high steep sea cliffs here with bare mountains Can you think why few trees and plants grow here?

True or false? • 1) The population distribution in Italy is evenly distributed? • 2) More people live in Rome than anywhere else in Italy? • 3) The North of Italy is more densely populated then the south? • 4) Less people live in the south of Italy due to the poor soil and steep mountain slopes? • 5) There is little industry (factories to work in) in the south so this is why the population is smaller than the north?
