“CRITERION VALIDITY AND INTER-RATER RELIABILITY OF THE OPERATIONALIZED PSYCHODYNAMIC DIAGNOSIS (OPD-2): PRELIMINARY FINDINGS” Dr. Luis Alvarado1, Dr. Guillermo de la Parra2, Ps. Paula Dagnino2, Ps. Francisca Pérez3 Introduction: since its introduction in 1992, the OPD has been widely used all over the world. In the meantime has proved to be a reliable and useful clinical assessment tool. Psychotherapy relevant issues like relationship patterns, psychodynamic conflicts as well as personality structure, are specially addressed, just allowing clinicians to design tailor-made psychotherapeutic interventions Aim: few data regarding reliability and validity of Operationalized Psychodynamic Diagnosis (OPD-2) are still available. Findings concerning those issues from an ongoing research are exposed Methods:after preliminary OPD-2 training, 15 psychotherapists rated a videotaped diagnostic interview. After training conclusion -3 months later-they were asked to re-rate the same interview. Results: Axis IV (Personality structure) shows the higher reliability (.67), whereasAxis I (Experience of Disorder) and Axis III (Relationship patterns) displays the lowest (.52). Conflict axis (.56) reaches only a modest reliability. Inter-rater reliability tends to increase at T2. Conclusions:figures are similar to those previously reported. Increasing reliability after training suggests its efficacy as a training and research instrument.
