Dominican Republic • Population: 9,650,054 • Language: Spanish • Religion : 95% Roman Catholic • Government: Democratic Republic • Imports/Exports: Exports- • ferronickel, sugar, gold, silver, coffee, cocoa, tobacco, meats, consumer goods. • Imports- petroleum, cotton and fabrics, chemicals and pharmaceuticals • Location: Caribbean, eastern two-thirds of the island of Hispaniola, between the Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean, east of Haiti.
