Grad Requirements You must be in a position to graduate WHAT THAT MEANS… • You are being successful in all of your classes • You have taken care of all of your school fees • You are in good standing with your school and your community Academics Attendance Behavior All requirements must be met in order to participate in grad activities
Graduation Program • The grad program includes Grades 10, 11 and 12! • Total: 80 credits: • 48 required-course credits • 28 or more elective credits • 16 of these credits must be earned at the Grade 12 level • 4 credits – Graduation Transitions & MAP

ATTENDANCE • Difficult to do well if you are not here! • ATTENDANCE IS KEY • excused vs. unexcused • phoning in • signing in/signing out
ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS • If you have to miss a class a parent/guardian must phone the attendance line • If you arrive late or leave early, you must sign in and out at the office • If you will be away for a long period of time, please email your teachers and contact the office • Students are expected to be in class on time and prepared to learn. If they are not they can be withdrawn from a course
Grade 12 Spare • When you get to school during a Spare you need to sign in at the office and sign out when you leave the building. • If you are in the building and there is a fire drill, You must exit the building and check in on the field with the line closest to the end by the portables. • If you are in the building during a lockdown drill you will need to connect with the closest teacher in a classroom or teaching area.

Where can you park? • Grade 12’s with a Pass can park in the student stallsin the lot near the gym or along the fence by the tennis courts. • Grade 11’s and 12’s without a Parking Pass can park in the gravel lot. • Students can park along the curbs were it is allowed. • In the back of the school ONLY if your car is scheduled to be taken into a mechanics class. with a special parking pass.
Where can’t you park? • In the staff/ visitor parking in the front of the school. • Against the fence across from the staff parking in front of the school. • In the staff parking behind the school.

Grad Fees Can be paid online $85 – Ceremony $85 – Banquet -Any student with financial concerns needs to see their administrator as soon as possible
Fees continued… Payment does not guarantee attendance – you must be in a position to graduate and in good standing Paying by cheque? – make them out to MBSS
Grad Legacy • $10 – payment online • Purpose of grad legacy
Grad Council Sept 15, 8:00 am in room 136. Open to all grade 12 students. Students plan and organize all the grad events. Build leadership skills -Class – meet every Fri morning -requires dedication, motivation, and creativity -credits earned -100 hours of class time and service See Mrs. Wowchuk for more info.
Extra Tickets • We cannot guarantee extra tickets for the banquet and ceremony will be available. • Depends on the number of grads who opt to attend the banquet and ceremony • Determined early spring • We will advertise in announcements if they become available and how they will be distributed
Extra Tickets • For banquet, please keep in mind that guests are invited to the dessert only (30 min). Dessert tickets are intended for parents and guardians. • Ask friends
