  3. General Safety Rules “Today’s technology is a wonderful tool but you must know how to use it safely!” Safety is EVERYONE’S Responsibility.

  4. General Safety Rules Did You Know? Bookbags should not be more than 10% of your body weight.

  5. General Safety Rules Daily Products Daily products can be dangerous or hazardous when used incorrectly. Read all signs/directions carefully.

  6. General Safety Rules Daily Hygiene Prevents spreading germs and viruses

  8. General Safety Rules Keep walkways and work areas free of all obstructions to prevent accidents. (Examples: book bags, litter, computer cords/cables/outlets, clean floors , papers/supplies etc.)

  9. General Safety Rules Use and store pencils, pens, and other sharp objects properly.

  10. General Safety Rules Do NOT use tools or equipment that is defective.

  11. General Safety Rules Treat school computers like you would treat your own.

  12. General Safety Rules Absolutely No food, drinks, or gum in the classroom.

  13. General Safety Rules Absolutely NO HORSEPLAY !

  14. General Safety Rules Do NOT lean back in chairs. Do NOT continuously roll around in the chairs.

  15. General Safety Rules Do NOT continuously adjust the computer monitors.

  16. General Safety Rules Frayed cords and broken plugs should be reported to the teacher.

  17. General Safety Rules Do NOT try to repair any equipment.

  18. General Safety Rules Disconnect a power cord by pulling the plug; don’t yank on the cord. Hold the plug and pull it out of the outlet.

  19. General Safety Rules Beware of fire escape, tornado, code red safety procedures.

  20. General Safety Rules Report all accidents or injuries to the teacher immediately.

  21. General Safety Rules When in doubt… ASK!
