Bs mixing perspectives key Issues: tagging flavour... ...correctly • Current detector performance • hadronic mode only • signal: 1600 events/fb-1 • S/B: 2/1 • D2: 4% • t = 67fs • 2 sensitivity for ms=15ps-1: ~0.5fb-1 of data • With “modest” improvements • signal: 2000 events/fb-1 • improve trigger, reconstruct more modes • S/B: 2/1 • D2: 5% • kaon tagging • t = 50fs • event-by-event tagging, L00 • 5 sensitivity for ms=18ps-1: ~1.7fb-1 of data • 5 sensitivity for ms=24ps-1: ~3.2fb-1 of data • ms=24ps-1 “covers” the expected region based upon indirect fits “same-side” tagging • Very challenging measurement • CDF is working hard on it QFTHEP'03. Summary • CDF has improved detector on improved machine • Has exceeded statistics and abilities of Run I • Continuing to explore QCD, EWK, Top, B, Exotics • Many brand new results • only a fraction of results was covered in this talk • Much more is coming • Ready for BS mixing and Higgs • providing Tevatron is doing well QFTHEP'03.
