Arrupe Center Fellows Update • Participation since program inception in fall 2005 • 32 HSB faculty, 15 with more than one fellowship • ~51% of current HSB full-time, tenure-track and tenured faculty • ~25% repeat fellows • Teaching: 3 fellowships to 3 faculty (~5%) • Research: 16 fellowships to 12 faculty (~20%) • Professional Development: 40 to 23 faculty (~38%) • EAC: 14 to 14 faculty • Conferences: 26 to 19 faculty • Funding review (see handout)

  4. Graduate Business Ethics Paper Competition • Now in its fifth consecutive term • Emphasis on guidelines • Paper deadline: January 5, 2009 • APA format • Word limit: 2,500-3,000 words, double-spaced • Awards available • First prize: $2,000 • Second prize: $1,500 • Third prize: $1,000 • Spring 2008 winning papers on Arrupe Web site

Arrupe Executive Lecturers Program • Currently, 76 executives across all business disciplines • How to schedule a guest lecturer • E-mail John and David with cc: to Lisa • Center advises you of any potential speaker(s) • You coordinate according to your syllabus • Can have joint lectures with colleagues’ class(es)

SJU Net Impact Chapter • Progressive Automotive X Prize • Working with West Philadelphia HS Hybrid X Team • Arrupe Advisory Board members and fellows engaged • Part of Net Impact’s Green Initiative strategy • 2008 North American conference • Wharton School, November 13-15, 2008 • SJU Net Impact student contingent at least 15 • Case competition • Arrupe Center cosponsoring, contributing content • Case to be posted on Net Impact Web site October 22 • For more information: http://www.netimpact.org
