Federal government (Pt. 2) • The Parliament is divided into two houses: • The House of Commons • This is made up of all of the MPs • They discuss and make laws • The Senate • This is made up of senators (they are not elected) • These people review laws and try to make sure that no unfair laws are made

  4. Provincial government • Also has ridings • Only has one house: no senate • Representatives are called Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) • Leader is called a Premier (not PM) Hello, my fellow MLAs. I am your premier, Mario.
