Eastman and Taxation In 2011, Eastman paid: $225 million in federal taxes $14 million to state of Texas At 35%, the US statutory corporate tax rate is the highest in the world Both parties support tax reform and a 25% statutory tax rate for companies like Eastman The difficulty is accomplishing reform in a revenue neutral fashion

  4. Trade Eastman supports open access to markets for trade and investment, while ensuring our domestic markets are not subjected to unfair trade practices.

  5. Eastman Trade Chemical industry accounted for 10% of total US exports in 2012 Eastman ranked as 21st largest containerized US exporter in 2010 Roughly half of Eastman’s revenues come from overseas exports The state of Texas accounted for 17% of all US exports in 2011
