  3. WHERE WILL I MEET MY AMAZING AMERICAN? • We will learn to go to the internet and access America’s Library for children and families to find our amazing American.

  4. First, you will need to go to Internet Explorer. The screen will look like this.

  5. We will go to The Library of Congress American Memory. The screen will look like this.

  6. We will scroll down to find America’s Library for children and families. The screen will look like this.

  7. From America’s Story, we will choose Meet Amazing Americans. The screen will look like this.

  8. From this screen, you will select a category. The screen will look like this.

  9. Now that you have selected a category, you are ready to select your Amazing American.

  10. Find your Amazing American. Jump back in time and visit with them. • Tell about the life of your famous person. • What is the most important contribution that your famous American made to or for our country? • Would you like for this famous person to be your friend? Why or why not? • If you could ask your famous person a question, what would it be and why?
