  1. CSENet Initiating Requests To other states

  2. Anyworker can send a location request to anystate that will accept them. Check the CSENet Transaction Exchange Table in KASES for information about the state you are working with. These requests DO NOT have to go through SPLS. They go directly from a Kentucky worker to the responding state.

  3. Only three LO1 requests can be sent at one time. Yes, a worker can go out and come back into CSENet and send 2 more. Only five location requests per day are allowed. .

  4. The following is an example of a LO1 (quick locate) request to Arizona. The Generate Interstate Request/Response screen is used to initiate and respond to CSENet Transactions. The other state’s IV-D Number is not required for LO1 Transactions. Each transaction is a combination of one functional type and one action code.

  6. Choose 01 CSENET FUNCTIONS – REQUEST/RESP

  7. Use the state abbreviation The OS FIPS: is not a required field The OS CASE ID is not a required field for a quick locate

  8. A function and an action must be Selected. In this example, a quick Locate (LO1) request will be sent to AZ. (As many as three states could Have been chosen) PF9 to confirm.

  9. Be sure the ‘TRANSACTION COMPLETED SUCESSFULLY’ appears.

  10. Requests for Case Information (CSI), Managing State Cases (MSC), and Enforcement (ENF) are made in the same way as the previous example. You must have the other state’s IV-D# for CSI and MSC transactions that are sent manually. ENF and LO1 transactions do not require the other state’s IV-D#. A CSI is handled thru batch - do not send a message with these. The CSIR is used to request all case information from another state. The only time a worker would be involved with an CSIP is if it errs off (you would receive a CERR worklist). A message or note can be sent with a MSC and ENF.
