  2. Do Now June 2 • Imagine that someone important to you left you for a long time, only to return many years later. How would you react? What would it take for you to trust them?

Reading Penelope’s Speech, pp. 878-881, and answer: • In lines 89-111, what reason does the beggar give for not giving his name? • In lines 112-128, what reason does Penelope give for losing her looks? What is being forced upon her? • In lines 129-155, what did Penelope do to not have that forced upon her yet?

  22. Let’s Tally our score! • 1 pt if the claims and thesis are restated in the last paragraph • 1 pt if the conclusion includes a call to action • 1 pt if conclusion is at least 3 sentences Count them up, write the number of points on the top, and hand them back to your partner.
