Muscular Strength • The amount of force your muscles can exert against resistance Example exercises – resistance training * Lifting a heavy weight few times
Cardiovascular Endurance • The ability to exercise the heart and lungs for a long period of time • The efficiency of your heart and lungs ability to transfer oxygen-rich blood to your working muscles during activities that last longer than 90 seconds Example exercises – running, swimming, biking
Flexibility • The ability to use your joints in a full range of motion Example exercises – yoga, dance, gymnastics, stretching
Body Composition • The percentage of body weight that is fat compared to lean body tissue • Lean body tissue – muscles, bones, organs, water
Agility • The ability to rapidly and accurately change the direction of the whole body in space
